Going Forward Post Malfunction

About a week and a half ago – I somehow managed to fry my pedalboard – literally. (sparks flew from the usb port)  So – roughly 1/3 of the way through recording guitar tracks for ‘The Great Mistrial‘ – I’m having to switch pedal boards – which means I’ll have to go back and re-record those previously recorded tracks.  And despite the minor setback –  it turns out to be a pretty good thing.  Some of you are familiar with the Line6 PODxt Live I was using for the majority of ‘Progressing Deviationand for the entirety of ‘More Than Ever.’   The tone I had dialed in for it was sufficient for those recordings; however, I’ve been wanting something a bit better.  In being forced to invest in a new board – I purchased the

Line6 POD HD300 –  Great Features aside – the tones are a lot clearer, in fact, the distortion tone I’m using for ‘The Great Mistrial’ now is heavy, yet clear. All 6 strings are present in full chords with the distortion, yet harmonics are still easily produced in addition to its solid rhythm crunch.   So – if you’re familiar with ENGL amplifiers.. or the band Amplifier – that’s the kinda tone we’re set with now for the album.   More soon –
